Jon and I decided to get out of the house and have a fun family night tonight. We took Brenna to the local bowling alley and had a good time. Brenna's only complaint is that they need to have the really light balls come in pink or purple. She insisted on using Jon's 13 pound purple ball instead of the 6 pound green/blue one they originally gave her. I started the game off by being 1 pin short of a turkey. Brenna didn't do too badly. Jon didn't do good enough to beat me! After bowling it was off to Wendy's for some chicken, fries, ketchup and sprite (brenna thinks you have to order and pay for the ketchup). When it was our turn to order she changed her mind and got chicken, orange slices, and chocolate milk. I asked her if that is really what she wanted and she says "yes mom, I told you already what I wanted, you need to listen to me when I'm talking to you". I don't know where she ever heard that phrase....After Wendy's we went to Brenna's park. She thinks the new park by our house was made especially for her by her Grandpa Bob. She likes to tell all the other kids that they are playing at HER park..it's pretty cute. The first thing Brenna does when going to the park is to look for someone to play with. This time it happened to be 3 other girls. She walked up to them and said "Hi. What's your name? I'm Brenna Frances Tate. You can be the mom and we'll be the babies." Good thing the other girls were willing to play with her. She had lots of fun with them. Too bad the wood chip covering is something else I'm allergic to and we had to cut the play time short. Hope next Monday is just as fun!
